When you find a web site you like there is never enough to see and read.I have been looking for this site for a long time. thanks . I need your help and all your readers help. My father was a US army mechanic in Olmsted Field,Pa. He had 6 pow working with him on the trucks One christmas they made him a card and all signed it. My father kept the card not as a war trophy but as a memory of friends. The names of the men are Johann Pentenrieder,Jakob Schmitz,Willi Beinert,Willi Steckelbach,Rudolf Kirchhofs, and Anton Neumann. I would like to find any of the men or families. Does anyone know of any German army reuion groups.

Great site and very interesting. It has been needed. Would like to see a list of places where pow camps were and the number of prisoners in each. Also looking for list of graves sites for these german prisoners of war.

Keep up the good work, a valuable site on a too often forgotten topic.

Yours is an interesting site covering a topic seldom discussed. I met a well known business man, baker and restaurantuer on Chincoteague Island, Virginia, USA about 20 years ago. He was German and owned and operated an excellent European bakery on the Island. He had been a Naval POW on the Island during the war and had returned back from England when he first had a chance. It was an interesting story and I will be happy to provide his name (he may still be alive) and or that of his children, if any one wants it. Sincerely,
A.Mitchell
